ABOUT STEPHANIE K. HAY

THE ENTERTAINMENT ATTORNEY

Stephanie K. Hay is the owner and principal attorney of The Hay Law Group, P.L.L.C. She opened the firm on a mission to collaborate, counsel, and protect the rights of entertainers, creatives, and entrepreneurs. She represents recording artists, celebrities, and entertainers in their negotiations – including recording agreements, management, endorsements, social media, personal appearances, and on-camera talent agreements.

Entertainment Law & Industry Certificate from U.S.C. Gould School of Law in Los Angles, California, J.D., Cum Laude, Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University and B.A. from Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Stephanie is a sought-after guest speaker on podcasts and at creative and professional events – including the annual Texas Entertainment Law Institute, American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, and Behind the Lines: Houston Lawyer Podcast. She was also quoted in publications such as Rolling Stone Magazine and the Texas Entertainment and Sports Law Newsletter discussing entertainment law matters.

Stephanie is a former adjunct professor of seven years in the Commercial Music Business department at Houston Community College. There, she aimed to impact future industry professionals and entertainers positively. Stephanie has furthered her efforts by using her social media platforms and YouTube channel to discuss and educate creatives on entertainment law matters. As a community leader, she has served as the Board Secretary of Women in Film and Television Houston and Chair of the Houston Community College Music Business Advisory Board.

Stephanie is looking forward to working with leading entertainment organizations in the fight to expand diversity, equity, and inclusion in the television and film industry.

A native of Decatur, Georgia, Stephanie is motivated by her grandmother’s quote:
